As part of solidifying the goals of the Union and expanding its educational, social, and cultural activities, a collaboration and partnership were formed with the Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research to launch a joint initiative in cooperation with the Middle East Women Inventors & Innovators Network (MEWIIN). MEWIIN is a specialized network that supports female inventors and innovators in the Middle East.
This initiative aims to grant awards for innovation to women who participate in the creation of new, applicable, and developmental ideas and projects, recognizing their efforts and contributions to innovation and scientific research. The launch of this initiative is scheduled to coincide with International Women's Day on March 18, 2020, under the gracious patronage of His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
It's worth noting that MEWIIN has a clear objective to combine technology and knowledge transfer to assist women in promoting their ideas, inspiring other young women to pursue similar paths, and consider careers related to creativity and innovation. The MEWIIN platform is designed to encourage young women today to find suitable role models and learn how to usher in a new wave of innovation. MEWIIN will also serve as a tool to highlight the importance of women taking on key roles in designing, planning, executing, and developing infrastructure.
